We value our building and programs, but we believe most of all that our church is a community. Here's an informal sketch of some attributes that describe, our church family: |
| We seek spiritual growth.
We seek to balance participation in small groups with the activity of the
entire congregation. Periodically, we have special services for prayer
and thanksgiving.
We're missions minded. We support missionaries on each of the Covenant's ten international fields and a wide range of local projects, such as a crisis pregnancy center, Habitat for Humanity and prison outreach. Members of our congregation participate in short-term missions projects, and some members have been called to full-time Christian service. We like variety. We worship through traditional hymns, praise choruses, and contemporary music. We also attempt to balance order and spontaneity in our services. We are a diverse group. Reflecting the nature of Rochester, our congregation is a mixture of Covenanters and people who come from many other different backgrounds. We enjoy fellowship. We enjoy
Lake Beauty Bible Camp, meals at the church and in one another's homes,
and recreational programs. Many of our activities are informal, reflecting
the interests of Our people, and they change as needed. There's a warm
welcome to everyone to participate.
