"Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me."  Matthew 25:40

Friendship Place is a house in the Meadow Park area, where children living in the apartment complex and the surrounding area can come for help with homework, help with English, for fun, snacks, learning opportunities, and caring relationships with interested adult and teens.

This is a wonderful opportunity to "make disciples" (of ourselves as well as others).  In the midst of performing every day activities here, God has opened up many opportunities to introduce these children and young people to Jesus Christ as well.

You Can Help at Friendship Place!

The children are very excited to be back and eager to be involved in a variety of activities.  We have new children this year as well.  The SEWING and KNITTING activities are well underway (although more are always welcome).  We have a closet full of CRAFT activities, however we need someone with an interest in this to share with the children.  WOODWORKING is an important project for the children.  We have the supplies, we only need a friendly guide.  Do you enjoy COOKING?  Could you help with making SNACKS?

As always, we need folks to READ with the children, assist with HOMEWORK, PLAY GAMES and be a FRIEND to reflect the LIGHT of JESUS.

If you have questions, please call the church office at 289-2990.

More things you can do at Friendship Place:

Although a different church sponsors each day, volunteers are more than welcome to come on the day that suits their own schedules.  You do not need to be a church member to participate.

You may give as much time as you choose.  You may set up a specific day to come on a weekly basis, or you may want to come for a limited time, for example, to teach a specific skill.  You may come either in the afternoon or evening (or both!).  Please call the contact person for the day you want to come, so that you will be expected and introduced to the children.

Friendship Place is an ecumenical effort of participating Rochester Christian Churches.  It is governed by a board composed of volunteers from each of the participating churches.

We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord and Savior.  We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.
