Missions Tour

Take the grand tour of our Missions Pages!

Learn how important missions are to Rochester Covenant, and some of the things our congregation is  doing to serve the Lord here and and overseas on our Missions page.  This page also has a table of links that will take you to all the other Missions related pages, which are highlighted below.

There are missions opportunities for our congregation here in Rochester.  We are excited and praise God that the Sudanese Christian community in Rochester is meeting to worship in our church.  Their  service is at 1:00 pm on Sundays.  All are invited to attend.  Together with other area churches, we minister to children at Friendship Place.  Two families in our congregation have worked towards owing their own Habitat for Humanity house in Rochester, and we have helped them by donating sweat equity hours.

Meet the missionaries and and missions we support on the Meet the Missionaries and Missions page.   If the organization they are associated with is underlined, click on its name and visit its web site!

Get some guidance on how to pray for missionaries on the How to Pray for Our Missionaries page.  And learn some hints for topics to write about when you send a letters to a missionaries on the Write to Our Missionaries page.  (And if you're going to send e-mail instead of snail-mail, you might include links to some of your favorite web sites that you think they might enjoy.  See the Christian Links page for some ideas.)

Our missionaries send us letters telling of their work and asking for our specific prayers.   Be sure to check out the new and improved Missions Bulletin Board in Fellowship Hall, for pictures of the missionaries we support and their latest letters.

If you or anyone you know is interested in working in the missions field, learn about the qualifications and application for becoming a missionary in the Evangelical Covenant Church on the Missionary Qualifications page.

On February 13, 2000, a service for Sudanese immigrants began at Rochester Covenant Church.  We welcome all to join in worship with the new Sudanese congregation every Sunday at 1:00 pm.  You will make some wonderful friends!
