| What is the difference between
a regular attendee and a member?
If you attend regularly you can participate fully
in almost every aspect of church life, except to vote at congregational
meetings and serve in some leadership positions. If you are ready,
membership is your next step to become an "investor" in the ministries
of Rochester Covenant Church.
What does membership mean?
You do not earn any extra benefits or "bonus points"
with God by becoming a member. Membership simply means you want to become
an integral, deeper part of the inner life and the outreach of Rochester
Covenant Church. Membership is one way for you to express your commitment
to the mission and ministries of our congregation.
What are the expectations of membership?
The expectations are simple: personal faith in
Christ, baptism, participation in ministry according to your gifts, and
regular giving back to God through our congregation. |
What are the rewards of membership?
Making a commitment to membership deepens your
sense of belonging to this Christian community. Membership strengthens
your awareness of the love, support, direction and accountability the church
offers. As a member, you can have an influence greater than you can
have on your own.
How do you become a member?
You can pursue membership by first attending a
Life Development 101 class, followed by attending a membership class and
applying for membership.
We welcome you
